Researcher Verification Information

At your first checkout we collect researcher information in addition to your order details. This may include your institution or organisation, your role, your intended research use, and identity information used to confirm that you are a qualified purchaser aged 21 or over. Some fields are optional and are marked as such at the point of collection.

This information is collected because we supply research-use-only materials and are required to confirm that purchasers are qualified researchers. It is retained as part of our compliance records for as long as required by our payment provider agreements and by applicable law, and is not used for marketing.

Identity Verification and Payment Processing

Card payments and identity verification for this store are handled by WAAVE Technologies, Inc. and its payment partners, acting as our payment service provider. Information you enter at checkout — including researcher verification details and the personal information needed to process your payment — is transmitted to and processed by that provider under its own privacy terms. Our payment provider may also carry out an identity validation check against the information you supply.

Our payment provider is additionally granted administrative access to our store platform for the purpose of configuring, maintaining and monitoring payment and compliance functions. Personnel acting under that access may be able to view order records containing your information. We limit this access to what is necessary for those purposes and remove it when it is no longer required.

We do not store complete payment card numbers on our servers at any time.
